Save Your Ink Cartridges and Old Cell Phones!

Think green! Save those empty ink & toner cartridges and old cell phones; when you do, you'll also save a life! Giles Co. Animal Rescue wants your empty cartridges and old cell phones. The money earned with this recycling program is used for our Spay/Neuter Program. We trap/neuter/release feral cats to control the over population & we offer financial assistance to families in need that would like to Spay/Neuter a pet. Think of all those cartridges being thrown away and they can now be put to use to help us curb the pet overpopulation problem in our area. Businesses, individuals, students please take the time to save them and save a life! Contact Christine at gilescountyanimalrescue@gmail.com for more info and drop off locations.

Virginia State Employees can donate by participating in CVC

The 2011 Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign theme is  "$2 Can Do a Lot – Can You?" The CVC is the annual workplace giving campaign for the employees of the Commonwealth of Virginia. This year marks the third year that Giles County Animal Rescue has been included with over 1,400 other charities approved to receive donations by employees of the state. Giving is easy through payroll deductions, credit cards, cash, and checks. Online giving is also available for payroll deduction and credit card gifts only. If you are employed by Virginia, please consider a tax-deductible gift to Giles County Animal Rescue. Check out Virginia Tech's partner website http://www.cvc.hr.vt.edu for more information and links. Specifics may be found on the campaign website; Giles County Animal Rescue's CVC code is 3201.

Pet Friendly License Plates

The DMV donates $15.00 of the yearly registration fee of each Pet Friendly license plate to the town/county where the vehicle is located. It is always a happy surprise when we get a donation from DMV. This Pet Friendly donation program is designed to support Spay/Neuter programs.
